Thursday 29 April 2010

Bauma 2010 was a large success, despite the disruption of airspace caused by the vulcanic ash cloud. Bauma also was a mark for the turnaround in the international construction machinery industry. Bauma 2010 also has a new record in exhibition space and exhibitors. Over 415 000 people from 200 countries visited Bauma 2010, taking place in Munich, Germany.

Over 2000 visitors "operated" the Volvo excavator simulator, one of them was Olof Persson, CEO at Volvo Construction Equipment. The simulators was as always a very appreciated feature at Volvo´s booth.
The Atlas Copco simulators attracted around 1500 visitors to try their skills in maneuvering a drilling rig. Both the ROC D9 surface drilling rig as well as the Boomer E2C were at display.
