TYA Truck Mounted Crane
TYA Truck Mounted Crane
Overview
In cooperation with TYA, the Vocational Training and Working Environment Council, Oryx has developed the Truck mounted crane simulator. The operator learns how to maneuver a truck mounted crane and how to use the most common applications.
There are many reasons why you should use a simulator for operator training, read more about them here. To get an even more cost-effective solution, the simulator can be combined with the
forestry crane.
Training program
The training program is developed in cooperation with TYA and Swedish schools. The exercises included in the training program is the very same that Swedish schools are using. The exercises are divided into three different levels: A, B and Examination.
The A-level is a free mode, where the operator has the possibility to get
familiar with the tools and objects included in the exercise. In B-level the operator has a specific task to perform. During the exercise the operator gets instruction and tips. In Examination, the operator has the same task, but do not receive any instructions or tips.
Training package
- Concrete rings. Unload and staple.
- Slalom course. Maneuver a concrete block through a cone course.
- Slalom course competition. Same as above, but the operator is placed in a high score list.
- Pallet lift. Maneuver a pallet through a gate course.
- Container handling.
- Long straps. Moving a bucket and placing it on top of barrels.
- Pole rising. Replacing lamp posts.
Administration and evaluation
The simulation software also includes a user manager. In the user manager new operators can be added with a personal username and password.
When the operator is training, certain data is collected for evaluation. The instructor can follow the operator's progress and evaluate the performance based on key factors presented by the software, for example:
- Simultaneous used functions
- Collisions (goods, crane)
- Mistakes
Hardware setup
To create a realistic field of view, the simulation is projected on a large screen. The operator maneuvers the crane using a real-life controls from Olsberg.
As an option, you can choose the new generation of control system: a wireless controller with displays, which supplies the operator with all kind of information.
When combined with the forestry crane simulator, you are using the same computer, screen, projector and speaker system. The simulator is also highly mobile, since almost all components fit into the included wheeled case.
Following items are included:
- Back projected screen, 2440 x 1830mm, including floor stand
- High definition projector
- Simulation computer
- Simulation software with commercial license
- Keyboard and mouse
- Speaker system
- Maneuver box with cabling (option: wireless maneuver box with transmitter)
